The wording for some of the types of gifts you can leave in your will are given below. And remember, it can be any amount of cash or even 1% of your estate. Every gift in every Will makes a difference. 

A Gift of money on your Will
(Any sum is welcome but please remember it might lose its value as inflation takes effect over future years)

I give free of tax to Yorkshire Cancer Research, 39 East Parade, Harrogate HG1 5LQ charity number 516898 the sum of £         [words and figures] to be used for its general charitable purposes, and I declare that the receipt of their Treasurer or other proper officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge.

A gift of a part or share of your estate
(This can be anything from 1% to 100% of your estate - whatever suits your circumstances)

I give  …% of the residue of my estate to Yorkshire Cancer Research, 39 East Parade, Harrogate  HG1 5LQ charity number 516898 to be used for its general charitable purposes and I declare that the receipt of their Treasurer or other proper officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge.

Changing your Will - a codicil
(This is a typical codicil, or appendix, which you can add to your current Will to ensure it matches your circumstances you should take professional advice)
