Marathon des Sables

The Marathon des Sables is the toughest foot race on the planet, set in stages and covering 243km while maintaining self-sufficiency in food, clothing and gear. The event is held in Morocco and involves participants running approximately 151 miles at their own pace across the desert in six days, carrying all their own supplies and equipment except tent and water.
