About New York Marathon
The premier event of New York Road Runners, the ING New York City Marathon is one of the world's great road races, drawing more than 100,000 applicants annually.
It really is the most complete marathon experience: a classic course through the five New York boroughs crossing the impressive Verrazano-Narrows Bridge at the start and the Queensboro Bridge at 15 miles. You will enjoy sensational views of the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings, before an incredible lift from the crowds when you enter Manhattan. The spectacular bridges, along with the hills in Central Park, mark this route as even tougher than the London Marathon.
From Brooklyn to the Bronx, this is a journey that encapsulates New York'sunique atmosphere.
