Let's Kick Cancer with Yorkshire Cancer Research, Hull City AFC and you.
We fund only the best
Money raised via our partnership with Hull City AFC will fund cancer research at the five centres of excellence; including Bradford, Leeds, Sheffield, York and Hull Universities and associated teaching hospitals.
Yorkshire Cancer Research has awarded just over £7 million to the MRI centre at Hull Royal Infirmary over the last 12 years to help fund state of the art equipment to help drive forward research programmes into cancer.
Early this year, just short of £1 million was spent on a new whole body scanner, which is the highest specification system available for routine magnetic resonance imaging of patients and is the first to become operational in Europe.
The scanner provides researchers with detailed 3 dimensional images of a tumour and surrounding area, which enables them to develop a more effective treatment programme tailored for each patient.
Yorkshire Cancer Research was formed in 1925, Registered Charity No. 516898, to fund research into the causes and cures of cancer.
Can we kick it? Yes, we can! But only with your help, please donate here
