Text to Donate Campaign Kicks Off with the start of the new football season

You can help Yorkshire Cancer Research and Hull City AFC raise £50,000 by using your mobile phone. During home games an advert will appear on the big screen at the KC Stadium asking you to Text HOPE to 82727.

Clair Chadwick from Yorkshire Cancer Research said: “With this text campaign we are appealing directly to Hull City AFC fans as well as the away supporters, to encourage thousands of people to make a small donation all at the same time. During the course of the season more than half a million people will see the screen and if just a small proportion of fans use their mobile to “Text HOPE” to 82727 then we will be well on our way to meeting our target of £50,000; which will be used to fund research here in Hull and throughout Yorkshire.”

Terms and Conditions

You will be charged £3.00 plus one message at your standard network rate. Yorkshire Cancer Research will receive approximately £1.90 from each message sent. This may rise to £2.78 if mobile phone operators choose to pass on VAT to Yorkshire Cancer Research and you can increase the value of your donation further if you click through to Gift Aid the donation.
