Hull City AFC Let's Kick Cancer Partnership
Hull City AFC is pleased to announce the launch of its charity partnership with Yorkshire Cancer Research for their 'Let's Kick Cancer' fundraising appeal.
Yorkshire Cancer Research is an independent regional medical research charity, which funds internationally recognised research at Bradford, Hull, Leeds, Sheffield and York Universities as well as associated teaching hospitals, into the causes and cures of cancer.
Clair Chadwick, a spokesperson for Yorkshire Cancer Research, said: "This new partnership with Hull City Football Club is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the vital research Yorkshire Cancer Research supports. This work represents an important investment in all our futures and we particularly wanted to encourage young people to get involved in fundraising so next season The Tigers will be holding a number of 'Let's Kick Cancer' events for supporters and their families to take part in."
Events will be announced on the new website www.ycr.org.uk/kickcancer soon.
Paul Duffen, Chairman of Hull City Football Club commented: "We are delighted to announce our partnership with Yorkshire Cancer Research. The Tigers are extremely proud of their Yorkshire heritage and we wanted to choose a charity partner that holds the same values and pride as our club and our supporters. Yorkshire Cancer Research is definitely the right choice."
