What the day looks like
- Your journey begins at the village hall, where you'll meet your experienced walking guides and set off in groups to summit Pen-y-Ghent. After summiting, you’ll descend to the first checkpoint at Ribblehead Viaduct, where the Yorkshire Cancer Research support team will be waiting with snacks and drinks to help you refuel. By this stage you’ll have ticked off 10 miles!
- After a short break, you’ll continue to Whernside and cover another 7 miles. Once you reach the summit and descend, you’ll meet the support team again at your final checkpoint, ready with more refreshments and encouragement.
- The final stretch of 8 miles takes you up Ingleborough, before descending back to Horton-in-Ribblesdale. Once you return to the village hall, you’ll be welcomed with a hot meal, your finisher’s medal, and a well-earned rest.
