For a Yorkshire free from cancer

Yorkshire is one of the regions hardest hit by cancer.

Together, we can change this. Yorkshire Cancer Research is a charity dedicated to finding new cancer cures and bringing them to people in Yorkshire, so you and the people you love can enjoy more moments together.

Pioneering new treatments and cures

Thanks to supporters, we’re working with the region's brightest minds in cancer research and sharing breakthroughs with the world.

Right now, we're taking state-of-the-art mobile screening units to hard-to-reach communities, funding pioneering clinical research in Yorkshire hospitals, and rolling out new research-backed exercise services that are proven to help people survive cancer to towns and cities across the region.

The very day I left the hospital, my daughter was in another hospital giving birth to my grandson, George. He’s six now and brings me so much joy. Two years ago, I welcomed another beautiful grandson too. I might never have got the chance to hold him if I hadn’t attended my lung cancer screening.”

100 years of life-saving research

Together we’ve brought a century of breakthroughs, progress and life-saving discoveries to people in Yorkshire, and beyond. From chemotherapy's roots in Yorkshire, to revolutionary cancer treatment across the globe.
