Yorkshire Cancer Research’s response to the Conservative Party Policy Renewal Programme

Yorkshire Cancer Research recently submitted its response to the Conservative Party Renewal Programme. This consultation invited the public to explain the key challenges facing the UK across a wide range of subjects, including Government spending on health and research.

In our response, we highlight regional inequalities in health research funding, emphasise the importance of increasing the UK’s capacity for early diagnosis and explain how successful partnerships between charities and universities can positively contribute to the regional economy.

This submission reflects our commitment to engaging with all major political parties, including the Official Opposition, to support the development of evidence-based policy.
