2027 Funding Round – ‘Advancing Cancer Prevention, Early Detection and Treatment in Yorkshire and Beyond’ content

The 2027 Funding Round is for clinical research projects testing the latest innovations in the NHS or local communities in the following areas:
- Reducing the risk of developing cancer
- Improving early detection and cancer screening
- Improving cancer treatments
- Reducing cancer-related health inequalities
This year, Yorkshire Cancer Research particularly welcomes applications for research projects focused on:
- The role of multi-cancer early detection (MCED) tests in improving early detection and reducing health inequalities in Yorkshire
- Investigating the effects of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists on cancer prevention, treatment and outcomes

Funding Round opens: 8 October 2026
Deadline for preliminary applications: 12 noon, 3 December 2026
Deadline for full applications: 12 noon, 25 March 2027
Funding decisions: September/October 2027
