Nutrition after a cancer diagnosis

Both cancer and its treatment can impact your appetite, the way you eat and the way you view food. Evidence suggests that eating well before, during and after your cancer treatment can help to optimise energy levels and help you feel better. It can help to cope better with the side effects of treatment and help your body to recover.

If you are struggling with weight loss, your appetite or have been advised to lose weight then please speak to the Active Together team or your clinical nurse specialist.

Learn what eating well looks like and how this can help you to prepare for and recover from cancer treatment.

Eating well whilst living with cancer workshop

I saw a dietitian during my last visit to Active Together and she gave advice about my diet. The service has been helpful the whole way through my treatment.
