Volunteer at the Leeds Half Marathon

We're looking for volunteers to support the Leeds Half Marathon on 12 May 2024. With over 100 charity runners raising funds for vital cancer research in the region, volunteers help ensure a seamless event by boosting morale and keeping participants safe along the route.

Volunteer as a route helper

The skills you need: No prior experience is needed, just lots of enthusiasm.

Benefits for you: An opportunity to give back and help Yorkshire Cancer Research fundraisers. You can even make a day of it and encourage friends and family to volunteer too. Lunch and travel expenses will be paid.

12 May 2024. 8am to 4pm

About the role: 

Route helpers play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the Leeds Half Marathon. Although the events occur on closed roads, these roles assist the event organisers and ensure the safety of runners. As you monitor the route, your main responsibility is to provide encouragement to the runners, whether through cheering, singing, or even dancing!
