Volunteer as an Influencer

Yorkshire Cancer Research Influencers are people in Yorkshire with experience of cancer that use their voices to help the charity do better work for people in our region.

This could involve giving feedback on charity projects, speaking to the media, or helping to assess what research gets funded through the Research Advisory Panel.

Who are we looking for?

Our volunteers come from all over Yorkshire and all different backgrounds. From those looking to expand their work experience, corporate volunteers, students, retired workers and to those with lived experience of cancer.

We welcome anyone with a desire to make a difference in Yorkshire and we will provide all the training and support you need to make that happen.

I’ve lost lots of people to cancer, and I’ve lived in Yorkshire a long while. My husband, my son and my daughter-in-law all work in the medical field, so they’ve all seen cancer up close. Anything that will help research and save lives, and any research that will encourage people to reduce their risk of cancer, is worth supporting."
