National Cancer Plan Update

Yorkshire Cancer Research has welcomed the National Cancer Plan announced on World Cancer Day, 4 February 2026, highlighting that several of the charity’s key proposals, supported by nearly 3,000 people across Yorkshire, have now been reflected in the Government’s strategy.

Thank you - your voice was heard.

I’m so thankful I’m still here today, but it saddens me greatly that Yorkshire is one of the hardest hit regions by cancer. We have a lot more life left to live; we need our voices heard and London needs to listen. I encourage the people of Yorkshire to all stand together, collaborate and affect change.”
