Developing a 10 Year Cancer Plan for Humber and North Yorkshire: Yorkshire Cancer Research Response content
Yorkshire Cancer Research has submitted a comprehensive response to the Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance’s survey on developing a 10 year cancer plan.
The charity’s submission highlights key opportunities to prevent cancer, diagnose it earlier, improve treatment and enhance quality of life for people across the region.
The response sets out evidence-based recommendations, including automatic enrolment into stop smoking services, sustained innovation in screening, investment in research capacity and the adoption of multimodal prehabilitation and rehabilitation based on the proven Active Together model, emphasising throughout the need to reduce health inequalities and how Humber and North Yorkshire can lead the way.
