- Plan your menu and a list of extra kit you're likely to need to create your shopping list.

On the day

- How do you want people to donate? Display your JustGiving URL prominently or/and have a jar/box to hand for cash.
- Quizzes and games are a good way to raise even more funds.
- Consider posting pictures of your event along with your fundraising URL on social media so people who were unable to attend can contribute if they wish.

FAQs
Does the Big Birthday Brew take place on a specific date?
No, you can organise your event for any day that suits you in 2025. The Big Birthday Brew is so-called as this year is the 100th anniversary of Yorkshire Cancer Research. The Events Team may ask you when you are holding your event to send you hints and tips beforehand, but you are not restricted to that date.
How do I collect donations?
JustGiving is the easiest and most direct way to collect funds and share them with the charity, or you can collect cash from guests on the day and pay it in a lump sum. We are grateful for any funds raised in any way.
How do I pay in donations?
Your fundraising donations will reach us automatically if you have used JustGiving. You can also pay in your fundraising online or email us fundraising@ycr.org.uk if you'd like to pay by bank transfer, phone or by post.
Do I need to follow any food regulations?
Members of the public don't need to follow any food standards regulations. Unless the event is taking place at a workplace that is a registered food business, they are also exempt from any food standards regulations. However, it is good practice to advise of any allergens as it helps people with allergies or intolerances to make safer choices.
