Changemaker wall terms and conditions content
The following terms and conditions apply to the Changemakers Recognition Wall campaign only.
By taking part in the Changemakers Recognition Wall campaign, you agree to be bound by the below Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to any terms and conditions stated here you should not join.
1. By taking part in the campaign, you warrant to Yorkshire Cancer Research that all information submitted by you regarding yourself, and your changemaker nomination is true and accurate and complete in every respect.
2. When you nominate a Changemaker, the name of the individual you are nominating and your accompanying message and image will be visible on the Yorkshire Cancer Research website, as well as on any social media channels where you choose to share your nomination.
3. Yorkshire Cancer Research shall be entitled to assume that the parents or guardians of any entrant who is less than 18 years old have consented to that person’s nomination. Furthermore, where any voluntary donation is made to the charity by the entrant, it shall be taken that the entrant has the bill payer's permission to make this payment.
4. Yorkshire Cancer Research reserves the right in its absolute discretion to amend or delete any nomination if it believes that an entrant has breached any of the terms and conditions, any applicable law (including without limitation copyright law and General Data Protection Regulation) or has infringed the intellectual property of any other person. Each participant acknowledges and agrees that any failure to comply with the conditions may lead to Yorkshire Cancer Research removing the nomination, without Yorkshire Cancer Research being required to give any reason for such removal or granting any opportunity for challenge. Any donation connected to the removed nominations will be refunded upon request.
Liability
1. Yorkshire Cancer Research accepts no responsibility for nominations lost, damaged or delayed whether due to transmission errors, website malfunction, computer error or otherwise.
Intellectual property rights and data protection
1. Participants agree to their pictures appearing on the Yorkshire Cancer Research Changemaker wall of recognition on the charity’s website, as well as on any charity or respective partners’ blogs, Facebook, X (Twitter), other social media channels and marketing materials to promote the charity.
2. Any personal information relating to entrants will be used by Yorkshire Cancer Research in accordance with data protection legislation in force in England.
3. Where an individual is identifiable within an entry – the individual must give consent for their photograph to be used for the purposes outlined above. Written consent may be required by the charity after the entry has been submitted.
Governing law and jurisdiction
1. These conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, validity, termination, or enforceability (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
2. The Courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the conditions or their subject matter (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
