Yorkshire Cancer Research to open new shop in Yeadon

Life-saving funds will be raised to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer in Yorkshire through the opening of a new shop on Yeadon high street.

Due to open in early 2024, the Yorkshire Cancer Research shop will be the charity’s ninth in the region and forms part of an ambitious target to have a shop on every high street in Yorkshire.

"Opening a new shop in the heart of Yeadon will not only help raise important funds for vital cancer research and innovative services, but also increase awareness of the work being carried out across Yorkshire to help more people live longer healthier lives, free of cancer."

“The shop will also provide volunteering and employment opportunities for people in the community as well as contributing to the local high street. We’re looking forward to welcoming customers and volunteers in Yeadon through the doors.”

The shop is expected to raise £120,000 a year to help fund life-giving medical breakthroughs.

Located in Cliffe Court, the shop will stock a curated collection of ladies’, men’s and children’s fashion and accessories, homeware, and books.

Yorkshire Cancer Research is inviting potential volunteers in Yeadon to register their interest.
